Haven't posted in a long time because of relocation and changes in things. Now living in Kathmandu, Nepal and enjoying the work here. Truly a pioneering effort with less than 1% of the population "Christian" and that is a stretch. Good people, funny, friendly, enjoyable and for the most part very open. Of course, my approach to Christianity has been an appeal to the truth and not to changing beliefs.

Everyone believes, it's just that most believe wrong things which is my definition of "unbelief". No one is a blank mind. It's filled with facts, knowledge, opinions, desires and often many are at odds or contradictory to one another. This controlled "insanity" is one of the reasons Paul writes that we must allow God to change the way we think if we ever to prove His perfect will. This is the truth that Jesus said would set us free.

Learning to think correctly from correct premises is the true pursuit of Christianity. All religions are not equal and not true. There are many ways to be wrong but only one way is right. How many wrong answers are there to the equation 2 + 2 = 4? How many right answers? There we have the problem with the human mind. Jesus stated He was the way, the truth and the life. Then He died and rose from the dead. This, for me, validates His claim and gives me the correct premise from which the logical process of thinking leads to proper conclusions.

1 John 5:19-20 (ESV) 19 We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
