Just a quick note to say that the work is progressing here. We're seeing young men coming in and are working with about six right now.
It's also beginning to warm up which is a very welcome situation. The houses have no heat and are made of concrete and brick, so whatever the outside temperature is, it is the same inside, sometimes a bit colder. It was around -1 to 5 C for several weeks. Not bad if you can go into a warm house, but when your house is that cold, it can wear on you. We were wearing all our clothes with several layers.
Our goods may be arriving this week or so we're told. It's been since April last year so we're resigned to believing when we see them. It's been a long and expensive process. One we will never repeat. Should we ever go into another nation we'll take what we can carry and buy what we need there. Too late to adjust that now. But we did learn a few things.
We need a new building as we're going to be out of room in the near future. We need to think about a nursery. Children here receive very little discipline and the concept of spanking is very foreign. We'll have to work on that in the distant future.
We'll there's so much more but the power just went off again. We're up to 14 hours a day without power so the generator is real handy. Can only run it max of 4 hours at a time, but between the generator and managing the power that is available we're able to keep things charged, and functioning.
Later.
